In memory of Bogusław Bortnik
This year's Memorial was not only an occasion for competition and for celebrating archery together, but also a moment of reflection. During the event we honoured the memory of Bogusław Bortnik, a respected Podlasie archer who passed away on 28 July, just before the competition. He represented Poland many times at national and international events, leaving a lasting mark on the history of Podlasie archery. His passing is a painful loss for the entire archery community.
We are especially grateful to Mr Bortnik's Family for being with us on this special day, and to his son, Krzysztof Bortnik, for standing in for his Father with dignity during the medal ceremony.
Acknowledgements
Our thanks also go to the irreplaceable Mr Ryszard Woronowicz, Manager of the BOSiR Athletics Stadium, for his warm welcome and his support in organising the event.
